Attorney Matt Berquist is a trial attorney focused in the area of criminal defense. He represents and defends individuals facing criminal charges in Massachusetts’ District and Superior Courts as well as in Federal Court. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2013 and his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 2016. He has been selected as a Top 40 Under 40 trial lawyer in the area of Criminal Defense for Massachusetts by the National Trial Lawyers. He has won numerous trials, both jury and jury waived as well as motions to dismiss, motions to suppress evidence, and innumerable outright case dismissals. He has an established reputation as a dedicated advocate and fighter for his clients in the system and believes the only way to successfully defend someone against the might of the government is to outwork the police and prosecution at every stage of the process. After graduating from law school, passing the bar, and entering the legal arena, Matt was afforded the unique opportunity to second chair cases where clients were charged with first degree murder.
